About the Role
We now have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Auto Electrician to join the Hastings Deering Learning team as an Apprentice Trainer. This role will be located at our learning facility in Acacia Ridge.
We are looking for someone with impeccable work ethic who likes to learn, seize opportunities, and take responsibility for achieving excellence whilst working as part of a great team. This is a great opportunity for a Tradesperson looking to develop and transition across from the tools to teach the next generation of Hastings Deering Apprentices.
The key responsibilities of this role will include but not be limited to:
- Facilitate a safe, positive, and open learning experience for our students.
- Proactively contribute to the continuous improvement of the Hastings Deering Registered Training Organization.
- Execute logistical plans for the successful delivery of training including but not limited to printing, facilities, and workshop requirements.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring and guidance to apprentices to ensure positive progress and outcomes.
- Support and provide input as part of the training team to support continual development and enhancement of training and assessment resources to support best practice.
About You
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
- Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology.
- 3 to 5 years post trade experience within the automotive, surface or mining industries
- A genuine interest in sharing knowledge and experience to support the Apprentice learning Journey to develop the future trades people for Hastings Deering and its customers.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable, the company will provide training for the right candidate)
- Attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines with competing priorities
- Ability to work autonomously to achieve training outcomes
- Sound PC skills
- Ensure safety goals are achieved through personal commitment, no harm to self or others and participation in safety initiatives
